Assistant Brewer

We are seeking a skilled and extremely passionate Assistant Brewer to join our team this Summer 2019. Hazy IPA’s, Pastry & Barrel Aged Stouts, Pastry Stouts and Wild Sours are what we brew, so a love for these styles is a must. Candidate must possess creativity, pride, imagination, and a goal-oriented mindset to help us to continue to set our brand apart. Brewing on a 10bbl system with 150 bbls of fermentation capacity with a current yearly output of about 2,000 bbls. The assistant brewer will be involved in all aspects of the production, so creativity. Passion, and a sense of humor are all a must!

Responsibilities 

  • Brewing & Wort production on 10bbl brewhouse
  • Yeast Management
  • Ensuring quality packaging of kegs, bottles, & cans
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
  • Contribute to recipe and process development as needed
  • Self-starting work ethic & ability to multitask
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Collaborative team player
  • Flexible hours as determined by the brewing schedule
  • Assist in Staff Education
  • Assist with Collaborations and Events

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • At least 2 years of brewing experience    
  • Recipe Development with old and newer brew styles
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance 
  • Well rounded brewery experience       
  • Ability to lift 55lb sacks and 165lb kegs throughout the day
  • Microbiology and chemistry knowledge
  • Must have a valid drivers license
